Music
Aili had been exposed to the club scene as a party-loving college girl in the mid 90's. Even Aili herself can't deny that club and bar hopping during her college years had played a big role in transforming her into a professional DJ as she is, today. Bars, clubs, people, drinking, dancing and music... She loved them all. She especially enjoyed watching and listening to different DJs who played variety of music in clubs around the Bay Area. She realized that music was what kept her going back to the club scene week after week. Her knowledge and passion for music had gradually built up, and now, djing is her biggest addiction in life.

Djing
As a Chinese, born and raised in Korea, Aili had the benefit of learning both Chinese and Korean languages, cultures, and of course, music styles and formats all at the same time. After she moved to the States, she heard the DJs at a Korean club in San Francisco, and she fell in love with the idea of mixing Korean music into local (SF) tunes. Korean club's unique music style made her a regular at the club (Avaron, now known as Club Bellagio.) After few years of partying at Avaron, Aili finally decided to introduce herself to the DJs at the club. She told them the intense passion she had for music and djing, but... a 'nightclub' is everything but a 'dj school'. Surprisingly, Bruce, the manager, gave her the opportunity to practice at the club on non-business hours for three months, before she got her own equipments.
Aili had practiced (CD & vinyl) consistently for almost an year. Her hard work had gotten her the chance to compete in "1998 Club Avaron DJ
Contest." She won the first place at the contest and she had became a resident DJ for Club Avaron ever since. Aili is the first female DJ who had ever worked for club Avaron, and also, the first and the only female DJ in California's Korean club scene.

Dreams
Aili had resigned from the four-year residency of Club Bellagio in July, 2002 to pursue her dream of becoming a DJ/ producer in the near future. Meanwhile, she
is making club appearances all around the San Francisco Bay Area to make her music heard.
'Familiar but edgy' best describes Aili's unique mixing style. Her mix is always evolving. She is on the constant look out for new tunes to add more flavor to her mixes.
